Camp Istrouma mission is “Developing Disciplines, Forming Friendships, and Impacting Lives Forever. “ Volunteers help us to share our mission every day. Whether it is by assisting during summer camp or by clearing brush from a trail, Camp Istrouma relies on the help of our volunteers to make a difference in the lives of thousands of visitors every year.
You can volunteer individually or as a group. All volunteers who work while campers are attending camp must be at least 18 years old, fill out a Volunteer Application, and complete a criminal background check.
Camp Nurse Volunteer
Camp Istrouma would love to have a nurse for every session of camp. The nurse would administer medication during meals times, help with minor injuries and monitor sick campers. This volunteer opportunity is available for one week sessions or multiple weeks. Please email our

Service Project Volunteer
Camp Istrouma relies on volunteer groups and individuals to help with a variety of maintenance, renovations, and grounds upkeep due to the fact that we do not have a Maintenance Director.
