Our overnight camps are 5 days and 4 nights starting on Mondays. The weeks are packed with learning, growing, and having lots of fun in a community of faith atmosphere lead by quality staff.
It’s here! Camp is around the corner. The staff has been eagerly waiting for your camper’s arrival. We have spent this year planning for an AMAZING week of Camp. We look forward to having fun with your camper but above all, our goal is to lead your camper to a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, not by words only but our actions.
Our campers are on a journey that is pushing them towards achievement and a greater understanding of themselves. On this journey they are offered friendship, encouragement, and the adventure of a lifetime. At Camp Istrouma, we live out our mission “IMPACTing lives for God through life-changing experiences.”
Cabin mate Request
Please make sure you have put your camper’s cabin mate request in the correct place in the registration system under cabin mate menu option. Please note that we do not look through your camper’s profile information for cabin mate request.
Preparing for the Week
On preparing for the week of camp, our camp website has lots of information that will be very helpful for you as a parent. You can find our “What to Pack” document on the right sidebar of this window. It has a “Packing list” and “What to Leave at Home” as any unauthorized items will be taken at the beginning of the week and returned at check-out. Also, for Explorers, Pathfinders, and Senior Sonrise campers, you will need to bring old clothes that may be able to get ruined for our “messy game” activity.
Code of Conduct
Please be sure to read our Code of Conduct form with your camper. It located on the right sidebar of this page. By doing our best to follow the included rules, we are positive that everyone will have a great week at camp. Also please read our cell phone policy and please be respectful of it. Campers do not like to break rules even if parents insist on them doing so. Please do not put your camper in that position. If there is a problem with your camper we will call you. Please note: You do not have to sign the Code of Conduct to turn in.
Check In/Out Information
Remember Check-IN: 9 AM -10 AM and Check-Out: 9:30 AM. Please be respectful of our check-in time, our staff has a lot to accomplish before your camper arrives that morning, so check-in will begin at 9 o’clock. Check-In is located at Wilkes Hall. Please keep your camper’s bags in your car as you will be directed to your camper’s cabin where you will unload there. On the last day of camp, we will have a Parent Breakfast and Closing Ceremony. We would like to personally invite you to join your campers for breakfast at 8:00AM in the Lake Lodge. Following breakfast at about 8:40 am everyone will make their way to our Chapel where we will present an overview of our week highlighting the events of your child’s time at Camp Istrouma. I hope you will be able to join us. The cost for breakfast is $6 per person and children 5 and under are free!
During camp, your camper will have the opportunity to buy snacks and souvenirs at the Camp Store in the afternoons. You may deposit money in your camper’s account, either online or during check-in. Your camper will have access to the money during Canteen Time. This helps to prevent losing money when traveling between the pool, lake, and cabins. Please allow about $3 to $5 a day. This is of course completely optional. At the end of camp, campers will have the option to donate their leftover money to the Camper Scholarship fund or receive a refund.
All of our campers will receive a Camp T-shirt. Your camper will get the size t-shirt that was requested during online registration. If you need a different size there will be a charge of $5. Campers will wear their t-shirts on the first day of camp, so that we may take group pictures.
Please understand that if you have not filled out your camper’s health information using the camp registration system, you still have time up until 2 days before camp starts. If your camper will be taking medicine during their camp session, please log back into the camp registration system and add those medicine(s) to their account. To enter new medication or to remove medication, you will find an orange tab labeled “Medical” inside the Camper sections. The medicine(s) that you enter into the system will be the medicine that you will be bring for your camper to take. On the right sidebar of this page is the Medication Form you will need to print and bring with you to check-in. Please follow the instructions on the medication form. If applicable, we will need a copy of your camper’s insurance card for our records. To make your wait time shorter, please make a copy before coming to camp. We will need a copy of your camper’s insurance card for our records.

The additional fee is $15 per slot. (max 30 campers per slot). If you have not signed up for your camper’s slots please do so now by logging into your camper’s registration account.
