Camp Istrouma Retreat Center is located approximately 10 miles north east of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in the picturesque and historic Greenwell Springs Community. The following facilities are built on 167 acres of tall pine trees and giant oak trees bordered by Sandy Creek Lake Istrouma Lodge This beautiful Acadian Style building is a multipurpose dining facility located on our beautiful lake. At 8400 sq. ft. under roof - the Lake Lodge has plenty of room for everyone. The facility has large event seating capacity, state of the art multimedia system, and majestic vaulted ceiling with rustic, but elegant chandeliers. A huge brick fireplace keeps us warm in the winter, and 14 massive windows provide sweeping views of God's wonderful creation all year round. Outside porches down 2 sides give a quiet place to relax in our many teak rocking chairs while admiring views of our lake and wooded areas. Chapel
Cabins Here groups will bond, lasting friendships will be formed and lifelong memories will be born. Each air conditioned cabin sleeps 72 campers divided into four bedrooms with 9 bunk beds in each. Each room also has a bathroom, and there is a common area which can be used as a meeting room for everyone in the cabin. Common rooms have a large sitting area and a kitchen with a regfrigerator. Boys' cabins and girls' cabins are on opposite sides of the camp.
Wilkes Activity Center Located right next to the pool, Wilkes is the home of F-U-N. Here campers come to register when they first arrive at camp. Wilkes is the location of many activities throughout camp, too. The building is also available for groups visiting the camp. With a seating capacity of 175, a giant 50" tv, fireplace and a/c - Wilkes has everything a group needs for year round fun and entertainment!
