Camp Istrouma has been around since the 1930’s when it opened as a Boy Scout Camp.  It was then purchased by the United Methodist church in 1958.  The camp is currently a year round Retreat Center and Summer Camp.  Registration for summer camp is open to all children and youth without regard to race, color, or religion.

This coed overnight camp features swimming, "the Blob", 100 foot water slide, 32 foot high climbing wall, hiking, canoeing, sports, crafts, skits, low ropes, talent shows, Bible Study, and amazing worship.  We seek to provide campers with an exciting summer that produces growth spiritually, mentally, socially, and physically. 

Our Camping Program is designed to develop an awareness of and appreciation for God's world and our place in it, to foster opportunities for Christian worship and fellowship, and to provide experiences living in a Christian community. Above all, our goal is to lead our children to Jesus Christ -  not by words only - but our actions.

Our carefully selected Christian staff provides a program designed to train young people in the way they should go. At the same time, the caring and fun staff demonstrates to campers the true joy of being a Christian.  At Camp Istrouma we live out our motto: Developing Disciples, Forming Friendships and Impacting Lives Forever!

Our campers are on a journey that is pushing them towards achievement and a greater understanding of themselves. On this journey they are offered friendship, encouragement, and the adventure of a lifetime.
