Praise God for He is faithful and true.  Our 2009 summer staff really has a heart for Christ and understands what it means to share with the world His love.  The goal that was set for Water For Water has been met and has exceeded all expectations.  On August 1st, we had several staff members participate in the swim-a-thon and successfully swam 50 laps.  At this time the 2009 summer staff has brought in donations of $5,949.79.  We thank everyone who partnered with us in this cause to provide clean drinking water to a community in need.  Please continue to pray for God to bless the community that receives the new water well.

The Water for Water donations will be combined with other UMC donations to supply a community in Mozambique with a water well - this area is in great need.  According to Rev. Morais G Quissico, at the Africa Office of General Board of Global Ministries United Methodist Church, the cost of water wells in this area is much higher.  Please pray with us for the additional funding to be joined with the Water for Water donations so families can receive the gift of clean water.
