Camp Istrouma Low Ropes Challenge Course

What is a Low Ropes Course ?

The Low Ropes Course is a series of problem-solving experiences that physically engage teams to develop and execute a plan. The challenges are low to the ground but are more difficult than they might look. Each challenge draws on every team member's contributions—their ideas, their support, and their efforts. The low ropes course is structured so that the activities gradually increase in level of difficulty so that the team continually extends its aspirations and its reach.

Corporate groups often travel long distances at great cost to mold, shape and build leadership potential in their employees. Camp Istrouma offers the same high quality experience, with an added spiritual dimension, to groups of youth and adults throughout our area at the lowest possible cost. Whether you drive in for the day or take advantage of the opportunity while on retreat, the potential for group building and personal challenge is only a phone call away. To schedule your group, call our camp office at (225) 261-2089

Some of the Goals of Camp Istrouma Low Rope Course

Building “Community” and developing the leadership potential of your small group are just two of the important goals reached in our Low Ropes Course. Other goals are teamwork, communication, unity, confidence, and trust. As each group tackles the challenges presented in the Low Ropes Course and takes the initiative to solve the problems presented  in each 2 to 3 1/2 hour session most groups often reach their goals successfully in an afternoon on the Low Ropes Course at Camp Istrouma.

Who Can Use our Low Ropes Course?

Highly recommended for any church, school, organization or business group seeking to build relationships by promoting , teamwork, communication, unity, confidence, and trust. Each element offers a set of problems and rules for solving the problem. As groups work together toward a solution, battle the frustrations of their leadership styles, and meet with success and failure, they discover the richness of who they are in a community.
